BUNGALOW PROBLEMS AND A FAT BOTTOM TO BOOT

Bungalow wins so far but again we still need to sell this first....HIP done board up papers signed so a waiting game now!!

Ran out of grey wool!!....so l started another FAT BOTTOM BAG with yarn l know l had plenty of but.........it still needs a handle

Going to make one l think but not decided what sort yet Wooden? crochet covered plastic?

The multi pastel COLINETTE YARNS l had lots of.....must go to the mill it's not that far away

Kathryn your felting yarn eventually turned up......today!!!!....so definitely won't be ready for your birthday but it will be ready for your next visit.....can't wait hugs x

FILLING TIME WITH A FAT BOTTOM

1st 8 rows folded in half

Open and flat straight strip in the centre with increase of 2 stitches every row

Making a felted bag for my friend's birthday but l've run out of wool delivery should be today

But l felt in need of a bit of hooky stuff this morning so having a go at a grey mix

CHUNKY FAT BOTTOM BAG

I chained 19 with a 10mm hook and 3 strands of yarn a chunky and 2 DK's and used a double crochet stitch

It seems to be a simple pattern with a straight strip in the middle of the bag of 5 stitches

(This makes the bottom of the bag)

The 1st row has 5DC each side of the increase and the 5dc at the centre the sides of the bag grow by 2 st in each row and curve the shape

START WITH 19CHAIN
The CH you skip at the beginning of the row, is your first DC, then you work 4 more DC (giving you 5 DC) now you work 2DCs into the next CH, (You now have 7 DCs) work DCs into the next 5CH, (you now have 12 DCs, work 2 DCs into the next CH, (you now have 14 DCs), work DCs into the last 5CH, (you now have 19 DCs).
CH2, which always stands as the first DC, work DCs into the next 5 STS, (6 DCs) work 2 DCs into next ST, (8 DCs) DCs into next 5 STS, (13 DC) 2 DCs into next ST, (15 DCs)DCs into the next 6 STS. (21DCs)
mark the increases AND ALWAYS HAVE 5DC IN THE CENTRE BETWEEN THE INCREASE STITCHES
If you make sure you have 2 extra stitches on each row EACH SIDE OF THE CENTRE 5DC you should be OK.

Not sure how many increases l will do yet but l'll let you know

Worked from side to side and then gathered onto another band that is stitched over a wooden or plastic covered handle

makes up fast just the sort of project l like and l'll add a 3D Exotic or two to finish it off

K's BAG MY PRESSIE A SICK BATHROOM AND A BIT OF RUBBER

Only 4 colours but l'd run out of the beige and couldn't remember where l'd got it from ooops!

Was ROBIN DK Acrylic and I found a ball in the tiny wool shop in town

so made great head way this morning so not far off finished

Added a bit of a ripple...now do l go back to straight again and do the draw string or do a strap and open top?

Another friend gave me a beautiful recycled felted cream flower last night and l absolutely adore it...one of my favourite colours......thank you so much Kaz making something special for this little beauty...watch this space!!! lol

Had a couple of days of not feeling quite well myself!!....ok this morning though

Maybe l came out in sympathy with the very sick bathroom!!!.....pipe work all sorted now.....but the shower cubicle was still leaking from the one corner........gggggggrrrrrrrrrrr said Pmacs

Been a real problem for a couple of years now and we decided the tiled floor had just got to come up......and that's the 'royal we' Pmacs did it all l just pushed a couple of bits of pipe..hehe

He removed all the sealer and resealed it all last night now we have to wait and see!!

Then we're going to lay new floor boards and a new floor covering.....something we can lift easily if needs be!

Thought RUBBER maybe for the new floor covering!

Yet another bag based as the wool sack pattern on size 7mm hook this time and 8 rounds only then sides of single crochet( sooooooooooo slow to do but looks like moss stitch in knitting) for 4 inches and then a freeform 4" section fast hehehe and finish off with another slow 4"....fiished it by 4 this afternoon

Always hated these chairs so asap l'm going to paint them an idea from the new blog l found this morning they have painted theirs all different pastel colours....have 8 chairs all together so 1st 4 l'm using in 'Hers' l will try this out then maybe do the dining room 4 aswell and the bottom of the table....yet another project to keep me busy with hehehe

Love the colours in this bag so going to make a cowl scarf to match...just for me

Inspiration came from a cotton jumper l used to own many years ago...adored the jumper l wore it out have a pic some where will have to see if l can find it

Made a couple of the new dining room seat covers aswell today and took a few pics of the 'new look' for the dining room......the beginnings of the new country look for 'Hers' (delivered tomorrow did l say l was excited hehehe) and the house 'cos the look is really growing on me

SMALLER PROJECT BAG..same pattern as the wool sack

Made another smaller version of the wool sack yesterday only 8 increase rounds and 23 side rounds and a thicker drawstring...4 strands with a 6mm hook..otherwise its made the same as the WOOL SACK just less of it!!

Looking at them side by side the one looks thicker yarn but its still only DK Double strand

It's just big enough to hold a single project 8-12 balls of yarn hook etc....or it could be a shoulder bag but l would add a shoulder strap if l was using it for that

the DK x 2 strands really is fast to crochet made this bag in about 7 hours one sitting started out as a bath mat though but l forgot l was making a bath mat and it turned into a bag hehe

CUSHION TO BAG OR MAYBE A POOF....lots of lovely colours

It started out as a cushion but it grew and grew....and as you can see l need another wool bag

on route up the sides l thought it may make a poof...another project to add to the list!!!

Inspiration from one of the photos in my many books on colourful things....Tricia guild books my fav's for colourful living.......l can look through them over and over again and find something new to inspire everytime
