BOBBLE FLOWER GRANNY SQUARE September 2011

HOW AN IDEA DEVELOPED
from a square to a hex and back to a square again
l know there are a lot of the flower granny squares out there in Blogland but l couldn't resist designing another
hehehe...always room for another flower don't you think?

As you can see l didn't finish anything yesterday....but hope you like the result of yesterdays playtime ?

New Chunky Bobble flower Granny Square
Made several versions before deciding on the chunky bobble flower with leaves in a Granny Square
BOBBLE FLOWER GRANNY SQUARE PATTERN

Round 1: Chain 4 and sl st into a circle
Round 2: 8SC into circle sl st to complete round
change colour
Round 3: these bobbles are quite chunky and again worked from the back of the work so the bobble pop on the right side
Attach flower colour with a SC and in the same stitch do a cluster of 3 Trebles,* sc into next stitch and another cluster of 3 trebles* and  repeat*to* until you have 8 bobble petals
Would make a lovely flower decoration as it is so stop here if you want to
Round 4: Adds leaves and work from the front of the square again
attach a shade of green with 3 Chain between one of the bobbles and do 2 DC, then do 3 DC in each space
it now looks like a circle....Again you could continue here with circles, but l wanted a granny square
SO.....
Round 5: Attach a back ground colour in one of the spaces and do 3chain and 2 DC 2 Chain and 3DC this makes the first corner in the next space do 3 SC then repeat until you have 4corners and 4 sides sl st. to complete the round
Make several and join as you go or do more granny square rounds..
HAVE FUN
Hope you like it

Over 14 pints of water from the walls yesterday then l just had to switch the dryers off......
aaaahhh! peace for a while lol

Have a Wonderful Wednesday everyone
Hugs to all xx
