SORRY SORRY SORRY......

CHRISTMAS
l know what you're thinking but as a crafter you have to plan early for Christmas
Meal with Dave and Alison on Tuesday the conversation turned to Christmas..l asked what would be there favourite time if they could have a perfect Christmas?
Alison wanted to go away and Dave wanted to have a chill out time doing nothing
I suggested they come to us for a week laughing we suggested a PJ party for Christmas day...hehe
THEY LOVED THE IDEA
Alison gets to go away and they are good enough friends to chill easily at our house so Dave will get his chill out time too
PLANS MADE FOR CHRISTMAS!
Inspirational collage for Christmas....my mind has been planning for a couple of weeks now
lounge will need blues and greens, black and white this year
going to make more loo roll stars and what can l do with all those wool cones?...mmmm

DISCOVERY!
the local Wilkinsons has an upstair!!....on the way up l noticed some really great priced door handles....as we need 12 sets decided they would be just perfect...only had 6 sets but more will be in, in less than a week...
just under £9 per set
AND A GREAT THRIFTY FIND
picked up 3 smaller serving plates from a charity shop for £1.98. A real bargain and the perfect size for a melon or a joint of something for Christmas and one to decorate for the mantle perhaps?
undercoat finished on the  fireplace and the bath tidy so a top coat of eggshell will sort them out
BUT most excited about the new door handles..
so TODAY'S ACTION PLAN is to fill and sand and undercoat all the doors down stairs today then everything will need a gloss top coat

ARE YOU A LIFE PLANNER?
Do you plan your life?...not in stone 'cos it often changes but do you know where you are going from day to day? l couldn't live without a life plan....something to aim at keeps me going.....
I NEED TO KNOW....
what's happening next week next month in 6 months a year 2yrs... a life map to follow gets things done!

everything down stairs needs to be finished by mid October
then we'll have a small kitchen to fit some where else for someone else...take about a week...
then back to sort the 2 bedrooms out for James' night's out stop overs and  Christmas guests....then all the decorations finished off and hung ....
Christmas sorted!
hehe...sorry again for mentioning it so early...just can't help being a planner!

BERTIE UPDATE....
he had Rhinoplasty!.....recovery slow!!
Original yellow paintwork...one day he will be yellow again

filler and sandpaper calls....cya ll soon
Hugs xx

  2. Hi Suz, Thanks for answering my question on your last post...how wonderful to be able to have a job like that but do understand it must be even nicer to do it for yourself with no pressure. I was a science lab technician while longing to be a textile artist...now retired so can enjoy doing all sorts of craft things. I do like a plan. I feel if you have a plan even if it has to change, you achieve a lot more. Love your Christmas ideas, looking forward to watching progress as the weeks unfold. Byeeee JennyA (Jennyca on Ravelry) xx

  4. I am a list maker, for sure, but don't plan too much. Although I am a creature of habit for sure!!!

  5. Hi Suz,
I can only admire you for planning so far ahead and enjoying it!
Having had my life planned for me by my night duties at hospital years ago,(the rotas came out for the next 6 months at a time!) I have an aversion to planning anything further ahead than two weeks!

  6. Wow...I am loving the car rennovations, and the fact that it shares my son's name! My husband is doing one up too, but his is called 'Candy'! I prefer Bertie.
