GLAD YOU LIKE ..HERE'S THE CONE INFO

So glad you like the tree l made for your cute birdie hope this info helps.....

TO MAKE A TALL SLIM CONE:
TIP: Write down which row you are on as you go easy to forget if you did an increase every 3rd st or every 4th st with the 2rows of not increasing in between....doing stripes helps l did the increase row as the 1st row of each stripe then the 2 even then the increase row as l changed colour

I like the magic circle start OR 2 Chain and 6sc into the second chain stitch gives a real tight point but 6 single crochet into a loop of 3/4 chain will do just as well what ever works for you

1st ROUND: *2sc in the 1st st, sc in next sc*repeat from * to * giving 9 sc Move marker to last sc in this row. Continue moving the st marker as each row is completed...

NOTE: You Don't slip st to finish but just keep going a bit like a spiral that's why you need to use a st marker

2nd ROUND: one sc in every st (9)
3rd ROUND: one sc in every stitch (9)
only increasing in every 3rd round will give a tall cone
4TH ROUND: 2sc in the 1st st then one sc in the next *two sts then an increase of 2sc in next st then 1sc in next 2 st * repeat from * to * (12)
5th and 6th ROUNDS one sc in each st only(12)
7th 2sc in the first st then sc in next 3 sts *2sc in next st then sc in next 3 st* repeat *to * to the end of the row
Note: don't forget to keep moving the st marker if your a beginner experience or counting can be done but a st marker will help a lot
8th and 9th ROUNDS: one sc in every st only
10th ROUND: increase in 1st st then one sc in the next 4 sts *2sc in the next st then sc in the next 4st* repeat * to *
11th and 12th one sc in every st
13th and increase in every 5th st
14th 15th no increase ...and so on until you have the height of cone you want

NOTE: It's like doing a circle really a 3D circle.....after a while you start to see the increase pattern appear

Red and white stripe l did 30 rows
Green one was 22 rows

TUBE:
Find the tube you want to use and do a row of chain that fits tightly around it make a ring of chain sts slip st into a circle and sc in every stitch slip st to finish off each row or groups of rows if you're doing stripes but use the st marker and do the spiral method if plain then no joins show
I used a bigger hook to give a slightly different texture on the trunk but you could use the same hook and yarn for all..personal choice

SHORT FAT CONE DO THE INCREASE EVERY OTHER ROW INSTEAD OF EVERY 3TH ROW
