Bobble Stitch Crochet Flower Square.

Lots of playtime today...some little chunkies with 8 petals, start with 8sc [8dc]
some double chunkies...
and more double chunkies...
and more circle chunkies...with a different colour combo and 12 bobbles stitches start with 12dc [12tr], for this version
some with a brown backgound...and a second round of 18 bobble sts.

and then made into a hexagon instead of a square, make a corner between
every 3rd bobble
 lots of colour...

almost the same pattern but some differences

Pattern for 8 petal Bobble Flower motif
US Terms and UK Terms in brackets
dk 4mm hook
Aran 5mm hook
2 strands of DK
6mm hook

Round 1: 1 finger wrap 4 wraps or Chain 4 and sl st into a circle
Round 2: 8sc [8dc], into circle sl st to complete round
change colour
Round 3: These bobbles are quite chunky and worked from the back of the work so the bobble pop on the right side

Attach flower colour with a sc [dc], in the same stitch do a cluster of 3 tr [3dtr],* sc [dc], into next stitch and another cluster of 3 tr [3dtr]* and repeat *to* until you have 8 bobble petals
sl st to complete.

NOTE: It makes a lovely flower decoration as it is, stop here if you want flowers to attach to a project.

Round 4: Add leaves and work from the front of the square again.

Att. a shade of green with 3ch between one of the bobbles and do 2dc [2tr],  3dc [3tr], in each ch sp.

NOTE: The motif now looks like a circle....Another round of bobble stitches could be added here and then made into a square or a hexagon.

Round 5: Att. back ground colour in any ch3, sp,  2ch, counts as first dc [tr], 2dc [2tr],  2ch, 3dc [3tr],  this makes the first corner in the next sp,  3sc [3dc], repeat corner and side to end,  sl st. to complete the round

  2. Yes, come to the states and give us a lesson and I'll come and Kris can cook. Maybe Kate and Pammy Sue can join us. :-)

I like the grey background better, it sets off the color better, the brown kinds of "eats" the color.

I **LOVE** the colorful eye-candy, reminds me of my post of Dahlias today!

    ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
